PROCEDURES FOR
CLASSIFICATION APPEAL PROCESS
Step 1, By May 2,
2011: a school appealing its
classification placement MUST submit a letter with rationale on school
letterhead, signed by the Principal, to Greg LeNeve.
Step 2. After May 2
2011, all schools appealing their classification will be made known to all
other Swossaa Member Schools.
Step3. Any

Classifications Appeal Meeting will be held May TBA. Appointments will
be provided to Appellants only. Objectors will have their letters read by the
Committee.

PROCEDURE
FOR COMPETING IN A HIGHER POPULATION DIVISION
AS PER :Article 3.4.5 -- Declaration Dates
A school must declare its classifications in
any fall activity by September 30, in any winter activity by December 15 and in
any spring activity by April 1. Schools
not declaring a classification will play in the classification as determined by
3.4.1, 3.4.2 and 3.4.3. Such declaration
shall be in writing on school letterhead and signed by the Principal and the
coach. The declaration shall be sent to
the Secretary-Treasurer.
Age Classification for 2010-2011 School Year
For the 2010-2011 school year,
A MIDGET will be born in 1996 or later, and may ONLY compete at SWOSSAA/OFSAA in the MIDGET CATEGORY for ONE year only in Grade NINE.
A JUNIOR will be born in 1995 or later
A SENIOR will be born in 1991 or later
Students are eligible to compete for no more than five (5) consecutive years from date of entry into Grade nine. There is no appeal to this rule.
