7. TOURNAMENT STRUCTURE AND PROCEDURE

a)     The tournament will run using a bracket, double elimination draw with a rat tail.

b)     Weigh-ins shall be conducted between 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm the day before wrestling at the site of the SWOSSAA championships. Wrestling will start for the boys by about 9:00 am the day after weigh-ins. Wrestling will start for the girls by about 10:00 am the day after weigh-ins.

      criteria.

e)     The top two wrestlers in each weight class will qualify to compete in the OFSAA  Championship. If

the third place wrestler has not met the second place wrestler, he/she may challenge the same

The seed meeting is to be conducted following the weigh-ins commencing at 9:00 pm at a location

                  selected by the convenor.

8. DRAW

The SWOSSAA tournament will use a bracket, double elimination draw with a RAT TAIL to determine the top four (boys), three (girls) placings. If there are only three wrestlers in a weight class, a FILA round robin draw will be used. If there are 6 or fewer wrestlers in a weight class, a regular FILA draw will be used.

Three separate draws will be used for placing the top seeds from each member association in the assigned seed locations. The draw master will randomly select the number of the draw being used for the first three weight classes in order and will continue on with that pattern for the remaining twelve weight classes (boys) or the remaining eight weight classes (girls).
